What is Botox (Botulinum Toxin) Application?

After Botox toxin injection is made into the muscle, its effect gradually begins to appear within 14 days. The toxin temporarily stops the use of the muscles in that area, reducing the wrinkles that occur with movement in that area and the secretion from the sweat glands.

In which areas can Botox be applied?

The most frequently used area today is the face area. The areas around the eyes, forehead lines, frown lines, fine lines on the lips, and dimples in the chin area are particularly preferred anatomical areas. It aims to minimize the appearance of established wrinkles or lines formed by movement in this area.

Teeth clenching botox, also known as 'Masseter botox', is another frequently preferred anatomical region. In cases where there is a teeth clenching problem or facial contour needs to be intervened, the procedure is performed by injection into the muscle.

Reducing sweating is the most preferred botulinum toxin application, especially in the summer months. By applying it to areas with excessive sweating such as the armpits, palms, soles of the feet, scalp or face, the release of sweat from the sweat glands is temporarily reduced.

How long does Botox Application effectiveness last?

The effect of Botox application begins to show its effect within 14 days after the procedure. It reaches its peak level on the 14th day and its effect gradually decreases within 2-4 months. Especially in patients with complaints such as teeth grinding, botox applied regularly will weaken the muscles in that area, so the duration of effect will increase with each application.
